Antonio Brown being sued for alleged furniture throwing incident

Pittsburgh Steelers star Antonio Brown is accused of almost striking a toddler with one of the pieces of large furniture he hurled from a 14th-story balcony during an April outburst, a new lawsuit says.

Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is reportedly being sued for almost killing a 22-month old child during a fit of furniture-throwing rage back in April.

The objects, according to the lawsuit, included two large vases, an ottoman and other pieces of furniture - all of which landed within 2 feet of the toddler and his grandfather, including one of the shattered vases.

It goes on to say surveillance video clearly shows objects falling from the balcony and almost striking the two people on the ground. The suit, Ophir Sternberg et.al. v. Antonio Brown, first reported by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, seeks $15,000 in damages for emotional distress.

Cops obtained surveillance video which showed a cleaning crew entering Brown's place on April 13. "Brown was extremely agitated, acting aggressively, and yelling at security personnel when arrived to the scene". Sternberg claimed the wide receiver acted "without regard for human life".

The Post-Gazette noted that neither Brown's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, nor the Steelers had a comment on the lawsuit. A message seeking comment from the Steelers was also not returned early Tuesday.

He has until October 11, to respond to the lawsuit.
