But in November 2017, Murphy, a volunteer firefighter, was killed by an alleged drunk driver while he was helping a crash victim near his home in IN, reports the Daily Mail.

Loving Life Photography shared images on Facebook of Jessica Padgett in her wedding gown on the day she was supposed to marry volunteer firefighter Kendall Murphy.

WTHR has the full report.

Jessica was supported by people who would have been at the wedding including her maid of honour and Kendall's best man who both gave speeches at the grave.

Murphy, 27, was assisting at the scene of one auto crash on a November 2017 night when he was struck and killed by another motorist - also a volunteer firefighter, Fox 59 reported.

Padgett was also presented with a stack of letters from everyone in the community.

Ms Knepp told CBS4 she would've done anything to help the grieving family.

Katrina Murphy, Kendall's mom, is the one who came up with the photoshoot idea. May God Bless you always honey.

The photographer wrote: 'She made broken look handsome and strong look invincible. "She walked with the universe on her shoulders and made it look like a pair of wings", Ms Knepp wrote.

"I've been dreading this day for a really long time", Ms Padgett said.

Mandi took photos of Jessica while she put on her dress and did her makeup.

Murphy was one of five firefighters from IN honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Service on Sunday IN Washington.

The Montgomery Fire Station and St. Peter Catholic Church helped "paint the town red" to honor Kendall.

Cameras from Loving Life Photography watched as Jessica got ready.
