A special data save is now available within the game, rewarding players with "a ton of rupees and items", according to the company.

Nintendo has surprised Switch Online subscribers by releasing a special (SP) version of The Legend of Zelda called 'The Legend of Zelda - Living the life of luxury'. If you choose to, you can now start the game with equipment like the White Sword, the Magical Shield, the Blue Ring, and the Power Bracelet, along with lots of buying power to get even more items nice and early into your journey.

"Living the life of luxury!", this "souped-up" version is more novice friendly than the original, which offered very little explanation or hand holding after its opening moments. There's also a "more difficult" Second Quest awaiting you if you complete it. Like all of the NES games released through Nintendo Switch Online, The Legend of Zelda also comes with new multiplayer capabilities.

Why didn't Nintendo tell us they were planning first-party official ROM hacks exclusively for Switch Online months ago?! "Solomon's Key" is a puzzle game released by Tecmo in 1986. Although the nostalgia is enough to keep some fans playing, Nintendo did announce that if players beat this version of The Legend of Zelda, they will unlock a more hard version called Second Quest. Metroid, the classic that started it all for the series, will make its debut, along with Mighty Bomb Jack and TwinBee.
