The color of the meteors will be the same that is in the red and yellow colors, but will vary its brightness.

The peak of the first one is expected at night on October 8-9.

Special equipment is not needed to see a Draconid meteor shower - you should be able to see it with the naked eye. These showers are very hard to predict, usually producing few, if any, visible meteors, but strong activity has been observed in the past.

The Draconids originated from cosmic dust of the comet 21P/Giacobini-Zinner, while the Orionids originated from Halley's Comet. Previous outbursts have occurred in years where that debris trail was fresh.

However, when the Draconid does flex its muscles, it offers some of the most wonderful meteor showers. It will be high in the sky when darkness falls, moving lower throughout the night and finally near the horizon by dawn.

Pointing your feet in a general north or northwest direction away from the moon and looking upward will put you in the best position to see the shower, but meteors will be visible in all parts of the sky.

The Draconids appear to emanate from the constellation Draco, the dragon, from a point just above the Little Dipper in the north after sunset.

The Draconids are best seen in the evening hours when the skies are darkening enough to pick out individual meteors.

It's the meteor shower's history that singles it out as an interesting one - the 1933 and 1946 shower brought thousands of meteors per hour to skies.

But the good news is you can watch the meteors zip across the sky regardless of whether you spot the Draco stars or not.

Wait for shooting stars in the night sky starting from 21:00.

At the same time, before you can see the meteor shower, it is better to give your eyes time to adapt: do not look at the light for at least 20 minutes.

Using a telescope won't benefit you, as you'll want the widest possible view.
