The 25-year old major victor picked up another accolade on Tuesday after winning the PGA Tour's Arnold Palmer Award for the most prize money on tour in 2017/18 with $8,694,821 - the second year in a row he has claimed it.

Smith finished last season with seven top-10 finishes, including back-to-back top-five finishes at the first two FedEx Cup Playoff events, the Northern Trust and Dell Technologies Championship.

The field is 78 players comprising Top-60 available from 2017-18 FedExCup going to a floor of 125th position plus Top-10 available from Asian Tour's Order of Merit list as on October 8 2018 plus eight sponsor spots.

"Obviously all three events are big".

Danny Lee has hit a hole in one at the CIMB Classic. In 2017, Pat Perez shot 24-under 264 to win by four shots over Keegan Bradley and finish seven shots ahead of Sung Kang and the reigning Rookie of the Year, Xander Schauffele. I've played the Malaysia Open many times.

The 22-year-old Indian hopes to take a step closer towards becoming the Asian Tour's number one golfer as half of the earnings won at the CIMB Classic will be counted on the Habitat for Humanity Standings. Sharma, a two-time Asian Tour victor, now leads the Habitat for Humanity Standings with a season's haul of $608,494.

He will play the first two rounds in a group featuring two former winners of the CIMB in defending champion Pat Perez and the in-form Ryan Moore.

"I haven't really thought about anything or set any goals". I'm really happy that I'm part of this event and looking forward to it. "The green is firmer and faster and there is lot of slope on the greens and I'm sure you're going to hole less putts", said Kiradech.

"I feel like with where my game is and how I'm trending and progressing, that's certainly within my reach".

"You have to play well here every day or at least get a round like today.it's what could end up winning me this golf tournament", Thomas said. I think I've done that in the past month.

"Not having my best stuff and getting around here in 6-under is huge".

While Kiradech has his PGA Tour card in hand for the 2018-19 season, India's Shubhankar Sharma, who is in the CIMB Classic field as one of the top-10 players from the Asian Tour, is eager to get his way to the world's premier circuit.

The other defeated member of the play-off, Brandt Snedeker, is also in Malaysia and will be keen to banish the memory of what happened last week.
