Selena Gomez is Seeking Treatment at Mental Health Facility

Selena was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in LA twice in the last two weeks to monitor her blood cell count, the website reports. She apparently was despondent and emotional over an alarmingly low white blood cell count in the wake of her kidney transplant.

Selena Gomez has reportedly checked into a mental health facility following an "emotional breakdown".

The outlet reported that when Gomez insisted upon leaving the hospital and was refused by doctors, she had a "meltdown", sources said, trying to rip an IV out of her arm and undergoing an "emotional breakdown".

In 2017, Selena underwent a kidney transplant when her Lupus condition left her organs inflamed, though it seems the star is still suffering from the side-effects.

Sources close to the website also revealed that the singer wished to leave after she was admitted. "She has been actively writing new music, and moved to Orange County for a change of pace and a fresh breath of air".

As of now, Selena is currently at an East Coast psychiatric facility and is receiving dialectical behavior therapy, aka DBT.

In February 2018, Gomez completed two weeks in rehab for depression and anxiety, marking her third time in treatment for her issues, after which sources told Page Six she was avoiding alcohol. Another added, "I love her with my whole heart".

Late last month, Gomez hosted an Instagram Live, telling her followers and fans that she'd been facing depression for the last five years.

Gomez was first hospitalized in the last week of September, and again last week.

The Heart Wants What It Wants hitmaker announced on September 24 that she was taking a break from social media. Her message referred to the hurtful impact of "negative comments".
