Selena Gomez enters treatment facility after suffering an 'emotional breakdown'

On Wednesday, TMZ reported that Justin's long time on-again, off-gain girlfriend Selena Gomez was going through an "emotional breakdown" and was receiving treatment.

Reports confirm that the 26-year-old suffered a recent "emotional breakdown" after two hospitalisations in relation to her 2017 kidney transplant and her ongoing battle with Lupus.

A source confirmed to UsWeekly Selena "is now resting and getting treatment for a series of panic attacks related to ongoing medical issues".

Another insider said Selly had "a couple of tough weeks leading up to" the panic attack that caused her to seek help. "She's doing better now and is seeking treatment on the East Coast".

She was reportedly taken to the hospital and discharged a few days later, but she had to be re-admitted last week because of her low white blood cell count. She's gone through it before, so it's not a completely new experience for the actor and singer.

This comes just weeks after the songstress announced she'd be taking a break from social media. She then did an Instagram Live session, in which she appeared sporadically incoherent, and revealed she has been suffering from depression for five years.

Earlier in the day, Baldwin shared a sweet kissing photo to Instagram Stories with her guy.

Soon after this news broke, Selena's fans started sending out wishes for her speedy recovery.

A source told ET, "Selena has dealt with depression for a while and her and the people around her have always kept an eye on how she feels, even more so since her kidney transplant".

"Just remember- negative comments can hurt anybody's feelings".
