Senator Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) was celebrated Thursday by many on the right for the savagery coming out of his social media account after Democrats caved to a deal from Republicans on judicial nominees.

"People have to still get out and vote", president Trump urged.

The other two formerly toss-up seats that have gone red are in North Dakota and Texas.

After polls had tightened last month, Texas Republican Ted Cruz now has an 8-point and 9-point lead over Democrat Beto O'Rourke in recent polls by NYT/Siena and Quinnipiac, respectively. The Republican suburban women left are likely socially conservative and pro-life - and Kavanaugh would have made them more enthusiastic about voting GOP rather than less. She said the back-to-back votes coming so soon after Kavanaugh's confirmation were especially painful.

Henderson said in a press release earlier this month that the misconduct claims were filed after Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings, which began on September 4.

"I hope that our supporters understand that, but we need to be focusing on is the outcome of the 2018 elections", she said adding that if Democrats control the Senate next year they will be able to block Trump's nominees they oppose. There are 25 Republican-held districts that Hillary Clinton won in the 2016 presidential election, and 12 Democratic-held districts that then-candidate Donald Trump carried.

"On numerous Senate races, races that we didn't think we had a chance, we're going to at least do very well and in many cases I think we're going to win", Trump predicted.

Republican Sen. John Kennedy agreed that McConnell was dead set on getting a good deal for Republicans.
