Michael Bublé announces his retirement from music after 'final interview'

Michael Buble has spoken about his withdrawal from social media and his plans to retire from the music business in his 'last interview'.

Singer and four-time Grammy victor Michael Bublé is officially retiring from music following his son's battle with cancer. "I was embarrassed by my ego, that it had allowed this insecurity", he told the Daily Mail.

"I don't have the stomach for it anymore".

"My entire world view has changed completely these last few years". According to the article, he says, "I'm retiring from the business. I don't know if I can get through this conversation without crying, and I've never lost control of my emotions in public", he said.

In an emotional interview with the Daily Mail, the 43-year-old spoke about his son's illness led his "perception of life" to change.

When Noah was diagnosed at the age of three, Michael took a break from music to help his wife, Argentine actress and model Luisana Lopilato, look after their son.

The "Save the Last Dance for Me" singer stated: "I decided I'll never read my name again in print, never read a review, and I never have. I'd become desperate to hold onto something I thought I might be losing, and I thought I had to do something special to keep it". "I decided I'd never use social media again, and I never have", he said.

The singer said that he was finished with fame and the anxiety that comes along with it and he admitted that "just wanted to die" after he learned that Noah was sick.

Michael's son Noah, 5, is now in remission but the singer said life has changed forever. Many times, I wish that it had been. "That gave me faith in humanity".

"They came over, we partied and we said, 'Let's play some music'".

Michael has a new album called Love about to be released but explained that this is his time to step away from music, wanting to leave at the "very top".

"Going through this with Noah, I didn't question who I was, I just questioned everything else".
