Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s First In-Game Live Event Has Been Canceled

The first live event in Assassin's Creed Odyssey was set to go live on Tuesday, October 16, but was was cancelled by Ubisoft. Players entering the pre-registration will receive a notification when the game is available.

This week's live event is canceled, however, the Assasin's Creed Twitter account promised that next week's is still on, and players should look out for an epic ship arriving in the Aegean Sea from Oct 23rd. "He'll give you a fair fight as soon as we track him down".

The first live event was meant to have players scrapping with an Epic Mercenary known as Damias the Indifferent, a nasty-looking chap sporting a huge mace-looking thing.

Live events in Assassin's Creed Odyssey will rotate weekly between Epic Ships and Epic Mercenaries. Along with the daily quests and weekly contracts, completing these weekly live events will automatically reward you with a special currency, Orichalcum.

Unfortunately, Ubisoft are now unable to fix whatever Medusa slithered into their server, announcing that this first event will not be taking place as planned. A blue Orichalcum emblem will be highlighted next to the quest name.

Assassin's Creed Rebellion brings together a full roster of legendary characters, including Ezio, Aguilar, Shao Jun, Claudia and Machiavelli, with more than 20 new unlockable characters exclusively created for the game.
