A freak injury handed Ryan Burnett the first loss of his professional career and cost him his WBA Bantamweight title as his suffered a fourth round TKO against Nonito Donaire.

Somehow, the 26-year-old managed to see the round out but once the adrenaline wore off, the pain became too much for Burnett in his corner and he failed to make it off his stool for the fifth.

Donaire sent his opponent a classy message after the bout, wishing Burnett a speedy recovery.

Fact is, a 950 United Kingdom pounds bet on Burnett wins just 100 United Kingdom pounds while a 100-pound bet on Donaire gets 575 pounds in return.
