Inactive Players for Week 9 vs. Lions

Detroit Lions wide receiver Kenny Golladay caught three of four targets for 46 yards in Sunday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

"It's a big shot to our pride", left guard Frank Ragnow said. "Dudes on every single position".

The way the defense played, the Vikings didn't need much offense. Detroit managed just 209 yards total and were all but toast after the Vikings scored 10 unanswered at the end of the first half to go up 17-6. The last time the Lions scored in single digits was a 17-6 loss to the New York Giants on December 18, 2016.

Cook gave the Vikings a boost with 89 yards on 10 carries after missing five of the last six games with a hamstring injury.

"You're going to play some teams that are going to have some really elite rushers and who are really elite players", left tackle Taylor Decker said. Let us know your thoughts in the comments section! "It's a tough pill to swallow, but we have to play better".

Eight-year veteran Tom Johnson tallied 2.5 on the afternoon, a career high. The Lions are 3-12 in those games.

After a rough showing by the Lions on Sunday, just days after coach Matt Patricia criticized a reporters posture, the Detroit News chose to have some fun with its copywriting for Monday's newspaper.

"Defensively, we didn't start out very well", Zimmer said Monday, Nov. 5. "Things change on gameday pretty quick depending on the opponent and what they're doing, and being able to handle some of those changes affects that". Three of them came inside Minnesota's 20, over two different possessions that ended with a field goal by Matt Prater.

Sunday's record-setting sack attack against the Lions, led by Danielle Hunter's 3 1/2, was Minnesota's best defensive showing and continued the unit's upward mobility. Hunter sacked Stafford on consecutive snaps, sharing the first one with Everson Griffen and using the second one to bring Prater out for another kick. "We've got to get better".
