METAIRIE, La. - Dez Bryant is scheduled to work out for the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, a source confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The former Dallas Cowboy will officially sign a one-year deal on Thursday.

The NFL Network first reported that the Saints are scheduled to audition the former Dallas Cowboys star along with veteran receivers Brandon Marshall and Kamar Aiken.

Michael Thomas is their number one option, with rookie Tre'Quan Smith, Cameron Meredith and slot receiver Austin Carr also on the depth chart. He reportedly has a workout tomorrow with one of the top teams in the league.

Bryant has been linked to a number of teams before and during the season, but nothing has come to fruition.

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Bryant wrote: "Not doing what I love (football) put a weight on me that I never thought I could lift off due to my situations and sacrifices. No way you can cheat it".

Bryant, 30, was a three-time Pro Bowler with the Dallas Cowboys who struggled to find his top form playing with quarterback Dak Prescott after the departure of Tony Romo. He had 69 catches for 838 yards and six TDs last season so it would seem like he has some game left in him.

Pelissero acknowledged in his report that Bryant has gotten close to agreeing to terms before, turning down an offer with the Baltimore Ravens said to be worth $21-million over three years.
