Alex Cora achieved the feat in his rookie season as manager, becoming the first Puerto Rican manager to win a Fall Classic.

The Red Sox obviously made it back to Boston in time for Wednesday's championship parade, and the celebration continued on Thursday night when they brought the Commissioner's Trophy to the Celtics-Bucks game at TD Garden.

Next stop on the Red Sox World Series victory tour - Puerto Rico. Not a lot of people know where it is. "The next thing I'll do is asking management to allow me to take this trophy with me to my island", Cora said.

"I know the headlines don't show it, but I said I respect the president and I know that he helped our country".

Cora was accompanied Saturday by pitchers David Price and Eduardo Rodriguez and catcher Christian Vazquez, among others including Red Sox chairman Tom Werner.

The Red Sox visited Puerto Rico in January and delivered almost 10 tons of supplies to aid Hurricane Maria recovery efforts.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora still isn't committing to anything involving a White House visit or President Donald Trump.
