Britain's Prince Charles, Prince of Wales (2ndL) attends a ceremony during a visit to Osei Tutu II, the Asantahene or king of Ghana's Asante people, at Manhyia palace in Kumasi, Ghana on November 4, 2018.

"For him that's a fantastic opportunity to step up and be that support, and you know he's our father so of course he's gonna be there for us".

William says in the documentary: "I want to be my own man and take my own style, my own passions and my own interests my way, and do things slightly differently".

A royal source told CNN that the prince would like to put on the record once and for all that he doesn't plan to be a meddling monarch, adding that he sees the role as distinct from the one he is in now.

"It is becoming evident that not following such an approach has disastrous consequences, as is witnessed by the fact that 8 million tons of plastic enter the ocean every year, that soon there will be one ton of plastic for every three tons of fish in the sea, and that the dead zones in the ocean, now numbering over 400, are continuing to grow", he said. Do you think Prince Charles did the right thing walking Meghan down the aisle?

In the hour-long film, the Duke of Cambridge said he would like his father to spend more time with his grandchildren - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. I'm not that stupid, I do realise that it is a separate exercise being sovereign. So, of course, you operate within the constitutional parameters.

When questioned about what some have termed his "meddling", Charles defends his actions, which include establishing the Prince's Trust in 1976 to help disadvantaged young people.

He said: "If it's meddling to worry about the inner cities as I did 40 years ago, then if that's meddling I'm proud of it".

"I think that was very touching, sitting where I was, you couldn't hear what he said", she reveals in the documentary.

Charles' wife, Duchess Camilla, admitted it was a "touching" moment, which she only witnessed when she watched the wedding back on television.

What will Meghan's life be like after the Royal wedding? Prince William adds: "Having more time with him at home would be lovely, and being able to play around with the grandchildren".

"We are delighted to have an exciting programme of activity in Abuja and Lagos which will showcase those issues close to the Prince's and the Duchess's hearts", she said.
