Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Newborn Baby

Congratulations are in order for Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade and his wife Gabrielle Union after Wade took to Twitter to share the news that the two have welcomed home a healthy baby girl. Welcome to the party sweet girl!

The couple had been trying to have a kid for years but Union has struggled with infertility, a battle she's talked about publicly. Instead of diagnosing me, [doctors] were like, 'Oh you have periods that last nine or 10 days and you're bleeding through overnight pads, perhaps there's something more there.' Every doctor that I saw was like, 'Let me put you on birth control.' The pill can mask all sorts of things.

The "Being Mary Jane" star added that the couple remained "bursting with love and ready to do anything to meet the child we've both dreamed of".

The three-time National Basketball Association champion had missed the Heat's victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night for unspecified personal reasons. 'Then I became a stepmom, and there was no place I'd rather be than with them'.

The sportsman also has another son, Xavier, three, who was conceived with another woman when he had split from Gabrielle. She and Dwyane tied the knot in August 2014 after five years together. "Just one look at you and I know its gonna be a lovely day, a lovely day".

'A lot of people, especially people that have fertility issues, just say "no" because that's a lot easier than being honest about whatever is actually going on. Wade has three children from previous relationships.
