Samsung is now making it faster and easier for developers to connect their devices and services to the SmartThings platform with a new suite of tools in the redesigned SmartThings Developer Workspace. According to The Guardian, Samsung is not the only cellphone manufacturing company creating a foldable phone.

One thing worth noting is that these individual capsules will not be immediately present on Bixby-enabled smartphones.

The Verge's reporter Nick Statt said that when folded, the phone was "bulky" and "feels miles away in quality" from a high-end smartphone. It can also display three different apps simultaneously.

The main screen of the Samsung foldable comes with a 4.2:3 aspect ratio and the cover a 21:9 aspect ratio. OLED displays in many modern smartphones are actually already flexible if you were to remove them from the rigid casing, but not to the same degree as these new displays. The Infinity O display, meanwhile, sits offset to the left side of the screen. "The experience was reengineered to reduce clutter and distractions, allowing the user to better focus and quickly navigate".

During the Samsung Developers Conference, the Korean electronics giant announced both its Infinity Flex display and Google's support for foldable screens. "We expect to see foldable products from several Android manufacturers", he said.

The three new notched displays should be heading to new devices by 2019 and beyond. For example, users now can have a compact smartphone that unfolds to reveal a larger immersive display for multitasking and viewing content. The company unveiled a foldable Android smartphone with a 7.8-inch screen.

She said Royole told her the issues were "due to the adhesive used in the engineering samples".

Samsung is likely to fully introduce a device for sale at the Consumer Electronics Show in January or at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February.

Bixby Developer Studio: This is a collection of tools created to provide an intuitive way for developers and partners to infuse intelligence into more services and devices.

Reporters at the American technology network The Verge, and digital media website Mashable, were among those to get their hands on Royole's FlexPai device at the event in San Francisco.

Samsung is also adding five additional languages to Bixby in the coming months - such as British English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
