Fortnite sets new record with 8.3 million concurrent players

In an interview (all in Korean), Epic Games Korea spokesperson stated that Fortnite had 8.3 million concurrent players worldwide during the time of publishing.

"We see the popularity of Fortnite every day at the NFL as many of our players are passionate about this game", said Brian Rolapp, chief media and business officer for the league. So, yeah, this is kind of a huge deal.

Epic Games' Fortnite is an extremely popular game that hit mobile devices earlier this year, and was bought to Nintendo Switch back in June.

The popular video game Fortnite will offer a series of National Football League themed outfits for players starting today at 4pm. The news follows the recent, belated implementation of Fortnite's Battle Royale mode in South Korea. The fact they've more than doubled that number and the servers haven't had any major problems in a long time is a phenomenal achievement.
