Deepika Highest Earning Woman on Forbes Indian Celebs List

Indian Cricket Team captain Virat Kohli has followed Salman Khan with total earnings of Rs. 228.04crore.

Surprisingly, superstar Shah Rukh Khan has not managed to grab a slot in top 10 and is at number 13 followed by Rajinikanth at number 14. Aside from witnessing a steep increase of 116.53 percent in his earnings from the previous year, he also jumped one spot. Popular actress Nayanthara has also found a place in the Celebrity 100 List.

Salman's earnings are pegged at Rs 253.25 crore.

Every year, Forbes brings out a list of celebrities and rank them in order of their earnings for that particular year.

Badminton star PV Sindhu is 4th on the list with fellow shuttler Saina Nehwal occupying the 10th spot on the standings.

Other cricket stars that made it to the top 10 are Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who rounded up the top five with Rs 101.77 crore, and Sachin Tendulkar (Rs 80.00 crore).

Adding another feather to her hat, Deepika Padukone has become the only women ever to make it to the top 5 of Forbes India's 100 celebrity list.

Bajrangi Bhaijaan of Bollywood, Salman Khan has topped Forbes India's 2018 list of richest Indian celebrities with earnings amounting to INR253.25 crore.

There is mixed representation from the prolific South Indian film industry.

Brian Carvalho, Editor, Forbes India, said: "The Celebrity 100 is a definitive barometer of earnings of celebrities". A year ago the Chennai Express actor was at the second position with earnings of ₹170.5 crores.

"Padmaavat" took Deepika Padukone's earnings to Rs 112.8 crore - she was at sixth and 11th place in 2016 and 2017 respectively.
