NY magazine has deleted an article that labelled the actor Priyanka Chopra a "global scam artist" who had conned musician Nick Jonas into marrying her after it was widely panned, especially by Indian readers. Columnist Riah has gone to the extent of writing that Nick is in a fraudulent relationship against his will.
Visibly shocked by the tone of the article, actress Sonam Kapoor has described it as "sexist, racist and disgusting". The website published a freaky article with the headline "Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas's Love for Real?". While everyone was in a celebratory mode, an article on New York's magazine, The Cut, blew everyone's mind!
Actress Priyanka Chopra, who recently tied the knot with beau Nick Jonas in fairytale wedding ceremonies in Jodhpur, has changed her name on Instagram. After a joyful mehendi and a spectacular sangeet, the two were Wednesday in two consecutive ceremonies, one according to Christian traditions and the other honouring Hindu traditions. Reacting to the slander by the publication, Priyanka handled the situation with grace and said, "I don't even want to react or comment". It's not even in my stratosphere.
Sophie, who was one of Priyanka's bridesmaids, also took to Twitter to defend Chopra. I'm in a happy place at this moment.
Nick Jonas has never shied away from flirting with his Lady Love on social media. And the reception night was no different.
Thank u, Next." Sophie Turner's tweet could be read as, "This is wildly inappropriate and totally disgusting. "These kinds of random things can't disturb it". "Very disappointed that the Cut would give anyone a platform to spew such bulls - - t".
However, the magazine has now removed the piece and apologised for the same on their official website.
