She spoke out in the song's defense after a news segment on the CBS show acknowledged that some radio stations have recently banned the tune.

The daughter of the man who wrote the Christmas song "Baby, It's Cold Outside", said the social justice warriors attacking the song are totally wrong and that the song has no correlation to date rape or any reasons why it should be cut by a radio station. "Ever since Cosby was accused of drugging women, I hear the date rape thing all the time" in reference to the song.

Critics took exception to the "Baby it's cold outside" lyrics, citing the moment he tells her "don't hold out" and particularly when she asks: 'Say, what's in this drink?'

Susan Loesser, the daughter of Broadway legend Frank Loesser, who wrote the song, insisted it's innocent.

"The world we live in is extra sensitive now, and people get easily offended, but in a world where #MeToo has finally given women the voice they deserve, the song has no place", he said in a statement.

"Please count me in the 90 percent", King said after the segment. "I think my father would be furious at that", she told NBC News. "Back then it didn't mean you drugged me".

King continued, "I think you can look at anything and read something into it these days, and I just don't think that was the case when they wrote that song and the intent of the song". Now, KOIT is letting listeners decide whether to bring "Baby, It's Cold Outside" back, and the poll is running 90 percent in the song's favor.

The song was also pulled from a Cleveland radio station last week.

'People used to say, 'What's in this drink?' as a joke, ' Loesser explained.

Loesser did say she understands why the song has taken on its current connotation in the post-Weinstein era, noting, "Absolutely I get it".
