When Google launched the Pixel 3 in October, it was generally well received.

Besides patching the security issues, the update addresses a number of performance issues on the Pixel 3 and other smartphones.

The update is rolling out today, and if your phone hasn't already gotten a notification saying there's a new software update, users should be able to download and install the patch by going into the phone's setting menu, scrolling down to the System, hitting Advanced, and tapping on the option for System Update. Some users reported that music playing in the background would stop when they took a picture - that's how awful the Pixel 3 was at handling RAM.

"If you're in Germany, look out for the ability to purchase Pixel 3 with eSIM functionality from Deutsche Telekom and Vodafone soon".

Google has made several custom apps which are exclusive to Pixel devices only and its latest app appears to be one related to ringtones called Sounds. First, Google has adjusted the volume behaviour when connecting to a Bluetooth device, which applies to all Pixel phones.

"If photography is your passion you'll also struggle to find a phone that can take pictures better than a Pixel".

If you're looking for the code, it was sitting in the Google One app, however some users are seeing an offer being extended via email, so check the app and your Inbox to see if yours is there.
