Salihamidzic: De Jong is on Bayern's radar

Ajax's Frenkie De Jong agrees to join Paris Saint-Germain over Manchester City

Ajax's Frenkie De Jong agrees to join Paris Saint-Germain over Manchester City

"The dark blue jersey of France's upcoming champions PSG, not the light blue one of Manchester City, will nearly certainly become De Jong's next summer", the paper said.

"The only thing I can and will say is that there is still no agreement", said De Jong, a Barcelona target.

De Jong made the move to Ajax from Willem II in 2016, where he won the Jupiter League Talent of the Season in 2016-17 for the club's reserve team Jong Ajax.

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has refused to rule out the Bundesliga giants making a move for Ajax prodigy Frenkie de Jong.

Barcelona are believed to view De Jong as the long-term successor to Sergio Busquets, as the pair share a similar skill set. It is a compliment to the youth academy and to the development of the players that takes place here. But a certain French club called PSG might have other ideas.

Reports this morning suggested midfielder De Jong was on his way to PSG for a fee of around €75million but the player has now denied a deal has been done.

Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong could be heading for Paris Saint-Germain next summer because the club is willing to pay the required €75m for the 21-year-old, the Telegraaf reported on Friday. "In the winter I will not leave anyway". However, with numerous side's interested in De Jong's signature, this certainly has the potential to develop into an incredibly eventful transfer saga. But I am not sure, ' he told the paper. I hear the stories but I just want to finish this season well'.

The Frenchman said that his quality passes that break lines make him a very useful player.
