Stranger Things Video Game Trailer Teases New Details For Season 3

A Stranger Things retro-style video game was announced yesterday at the Game Awards 2018.

On Thursday night during The Game Awards, Stranger Things creators Matt and Ross Duffer revealed the trailer for an all-new video game called Stranger Things 3: The Game, that will have ties to the Netflix show's third season.

Marvel Studios

Netflix is making the new title with the efforts of Bonus XP. An exact date wasn't given, but the game will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

As you can see below, users will be able to take control of a variety of characters, from Lucas to Hopper to what appears to be either Eleven, Joyce, or Steve (please god). In the meantime, be sure to check out the original Stranger Things 16-bit game that's now available on all mobile devices and was also developed by Bonus XP, whose remarkable work clearly nabbed them this gig. It's just a matter of seeing what settles over the next few months. Perhaps playing the entire game will give us even more clues for season 3. Like the series itself! The game will likely be released sometime next year, though no official release date has been announced yet.

There's a new game based on Stranger Things in the works!
