Cape Town - It's been nearly a decade since singer Susan Boyle was the runner-up of Britain's Got Talent's season 3 in 2009.

After earning a standing ovation for her rendition of Wild Horses, released by the Stones in 1971, judge Mel B pressed her golden buzzer, meaning she progresses through to the finals. "Your angelic voice and I want to be the woman who gives you something you deserve", Mel B said after pressing the button.

After her performance, Simon Cowell showered her with support, saying: "I can't think of any other contestant who has defined this show better if I'm being honest with you". You're the one, you made a huge difference in a lot of people's lives. "I want that jaw-dropping moment, ' because you are what the show is", Howie Mandel added.

With her show-stopping rendition of I Dreamed A Dream, fans were in awe after judging the book by the cover before she opened her mouth.

Susan gained fame when she appeared on "Britain's Got Talent" in 2009, where she performed "I Dreamed a Dream".

The Spice Girl then slammed the golden buzzer in excitement, which put her through straight to the final.

Despite finishing second on Britian's Got Talent, Boyle says she already feels like a champion "for those who don't have the confidence to do things, for those who don't have a voice (and) the ones who people tend to ignore".

An insider told the publication: "This is a big year for Susan and she is very much stepping back into the limelight with her AGT champions appearance being just the start".

She was taking part in the all-star version of the show, America's Got Talent: The Champions.

Despite being a runner-up on the show, she went on to sell over 25 million records worldwide.
