Tebow was previously linked to fellow Miss Universe victor, Olivia Culpo, in 2015.

As Nel-Peters said yes, Tebow slipped a 7.25-carat solitaire ring on her finger.

Tebow posted several photos from the happy event, which happened on Wednesday at his family's farm outside of Jacksonville, Fla. "Demi Leigh Nel-Peters, I love you", he said. Family and friends, many of who had flown from across the world, emerged to surprise Nel-Peters after the proposal.

During her speech, Nel-Peters, 23, jokingly apologized to Tebow's father. "I don't want to be single; I'm ready to settle down and start a family".

"I actually wasn't really nervous". Tebow had South African singer Matthew Mole come out and sing the couple's favorite song, "The Wedding Song". According to People, she received her bachelor's degree in business management from North-West University in South Africa, where she was born and raised. "He's just the sweetest person ever and it's such an honor for me to be able to get to share my experiences with him". "I was excited. I wanted everything to be flawless and to go smoothly", Tebow explained.

Tebow, a former star at Nease High School, has reportedly been seeing Nel-Peters for about two years. "Demi Leigh Nel-Peters, will you marry me?" "I love you and I can't wait to spend forever with you", said Nel-Peters.
