Luka Doncic Tallies Fourth-Most All-Star Votes in Second Return

Thunder forward Paul George has moved up to third in the second fan returns of All-Star 2019 voting for Western Conference frontcourt players, the National Basketball Association announced Thursday afternoon.

Westbrook remains in fourth place among Western Conference guards, but has expanded his lead on Golden State's Klay Thompson from just more than 200,000 votes to more than 700,000.

Lakers forward LeBron James (2,779,812) and Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (2,670,806) continue to lead their respective conferences in the second return of NBA All-Star Game voting. Yet, the sixth-year center is sixth in the Western Conference in votes among frontcourt players, and has expanded his lead on Denver's Nikola Jokic to almost 300,000 votes.

Kyrie Irving leads all Eastern Conference guards while Kawhi Leonard joins James, Doncic, Curry and Irving as the fifth player with at least 2 million votes. Current NBA players and a media panel each account for 25% of the vote.

The game will follow last year's format, with the two team captains drafting rosters from the pool of players voted as starters and reserves and making their picks regardless of conference affiliation.

The captains' draft will be televised this season. The voting for fans, players and media opened on December 25 and will end January 21.

Meanwhile, Kyle Kuzma (584,842 votes) and Lonzo Ball (529,164) are holding at eighth among Western Conference frontcourt players and guards, respectively.

Walker is third among East guards with 858,798 votes, ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers' Ben Simmons with 695,032.

TNT will reveal All-Star Game starters, including the two captains, on Thursday, Jan. 24 during their pregame show. NBA All-Star weekend will tip off on February 15.
