Alleged Nokia 8.1 Plus renders reveal display hole and dual cameras

Nokia 8.1 Plus with hole-in-display design and dual-camera setup leaks

The most recent, at least based on these renders, will be the Nokia 8.1 Plus. In the same mix is Nokia 6.1 Plus, which is a lone ranger owing that the 6.1 is already in local store shelves.

A 20-megapixel camera on the front will please selfie fans. Effectively, the development should get rid of screen cutouts for a more immersive display experience.

The device features a punch-hole design that accommodates the front camera on the top-left corner of the 6.22 inch display. HMD Global is working on the Nokia 8.1 Plus, which is the first Nokia device to have a punch-hole display.

It's been a little over a year since HMD Global announced the Nokia 6 (2018).

Renders of an upcoming Nokia smartphone have surfaced online showing off an in-display circular camera cutout, dual rear-facing cameras and a fingerprint scanner on its back.

Photography-wise, the Nokia 8.1 features a 1/.55-inch 1.4um 12MP sensor on its back that is also equipped with optical image stabilization and ZEISS optics alongside another 13MP sensor. Also, it would be nice if you could describe quickly how does the phone behaves after the update.

In Malaysia, the Nokia 8.1 is officially priced at RM1,699 and it will be on sale starting 18 January 2019 with a single Blue/Silver colour option. Under the hood, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is powered by a Snapdragon 636 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.

As noted, Nokia_Leaks revealed this news about Nokia 6.2 on Twitter.

"Furthermore, the device to sport a 6.22" Full-HD+ display.

Nokia has been pretty silent in the smartphone world for a while - other than the leaks to the imminent release of the Nokia 9 PureView, of course. The USB Type-C dock will be at the bottom side of the device.
