Meghan revealed that she is six months pregnant while she chatted to well-wishers, who lined the streets to get a glimpse of the royal couple during their first joint royal engagement of the year.

The blonde bodyguard was put in the spotlight earlier during Markle and Prince Harry's trip to Australia, Fiji and Tonga, when she was forced to intervene due to crowd management concerns.

According to Express.co.uk Bookmakers Paddy Power have suspended all betting on the gender of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's baby after an unprecedented number of bets came through on it being a girl.

FYI: Meghan is wearing a Babaton by Aritzia dress and coat by Sentaler.

The couple are expecting a baby, which is due in spring this year. Meghan added vertiginous red high heel shoes and wore her raven hair in a tried and tested sleek bun.

Prince Harry also gave a four-year-old a hug after spotting her sign "Gingers Unite - I love you Harry".

Among them was Vanina Coutinho, originally from Brazil, who has travelled across the United Kingdom to see members of the Royal Family. Next, they headed to Tomorrow's Women Wirral, an organization that supports women in vulnerable situations, "offering training courses and support groups around mental health, domestic abuse and more", Kensington Palace said.

The duke and duchess began their visit by viewing a sculpture in the town's Hamilton Square that marks the 100th anniversary of the death of the poet, killed a week before the end of the conflict on November 4 1918.

As Meghan settles into royal life, she has been undertaking solo appearances, but joined her husband in the town of Birkenhead in Merseyside to visit several community centres, and meet local military veterans and young people.
