Wilshere: West Ham knew all about this Arsenal weakness

Arsenal old boy Samir Nasri made his first Premier League start for West Ham against his former club and nearly produced an assist in the first half when he showed great composure to hold the ball up and lay the it off to Felipe Anderson on the edge of the box. We could have won or lost, like we can with him.

Arnautovic has been linked with an exit in the January transfer window and West Ham recently rejected a big-money bid from an unnamed Chinese club; the forward though is keen to move to China.

Away form has been a particular headache for Emery, his side having failed to win any of their past five matches on the road in the Premier League.

"Now it's more hard, it's clear", the manager admitted in the wake of their London Stadium loss.

And Emery admits major improvement is needed across the next 16 games if Arsenal are to see off competition for fourth. They send little messages to us supporters and everybody who is watching that they have to work out.

"We need to take more confidence, better performances collectively, being competitive away to change this moment".

"And then sometimes we are doing but like today [Saturday] we need to do more to be more competitive and to impose our idea and our quality".

Declan Rice has been grabbing all the headlines on Sunday morning following his match-winning display for West Ham against Arsenal on Saturday which saw him score his first Hammers goal.

The decision to leave out Ozil will again raise eyebrows, with it not being the first time Emery has decided that he is better off without the German in his matchday squad.

"For me he is like another player", Emery added. Not one player is for sale.

"He is improving in every game he plays, he is now more used to giving us a good build-up in front".
