Moto G7 quartet makes official debut ahead of MWC

Moto G7

Moto G7

The Mot G series is a very popular series and has garnered quite a sizeable number of lower followers for the brand.

All of these devices land in your pocket for under £270 with new features including a better display, more power and even a giant 5,000mAh battery in the Moto G7 Power.

Before now, nearly all the features and design of the models have been in the open via leaks but let's still take a quick look at the specifications of the models.

Sitting between the Moto G7 and Moto G7 Play in terms of price, specs and features, the Moto G7 Power is an odd middle child. The Moto G7 Play will run $199. Moto G7 has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Motorola has graced the Moto G7 with the thinnest bezel yet on a G phone, giving it the appearance of a high-end Android smartphone.

CNET has the rundown and initial takes of the devices, but all you really need to know is that the Moto devices will have an updated pure version of Android at prices that nearly make an annual upgrade a no brainer. You've also got a 12-megapixel camera with 1.25μm pixels and an LED flash.

The Moto G7 Power will be sold by T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Cricket Wireless (as the Moto G7 Supra), Consumer Cellular, Republic Wireless, Ting, and Xfinity Mobile. The four share many features, but each targets a slightly different market segment, based on screen size, camera capabilities, battery life, and, of course, price. And while last year's Moto G6 had a body covered mostly in Gorilla Glass 3, the G7 adds an eye-catching metal frame that's also quite nice to hold onto. Unfortunately, that is where it all ends as the rest of its specs don't really tickle.

The processor is a step up from the SD632 found in the other Moto G7 devices, as well as a step up from the SD630 found in the Moto G6 Play, which we felt was a little under-powered when we reviewed it. But should you ever want extra storage, the option is there with the Moto G7.

The Moto G7 Plus sports a 6.2” LCD on the front with a teardrop notch. The smartphone features 5.7-inch display.

The Moto G7 and G7 Plus are the all-singing, all-dancing handsets.

As far as the prices are concerned, the new Moto G7 is priced at $299 (around Rs. 21,300) whereas Moto G7 Plus is launched at Euro 299.99 (around Rs 24,500).

The Moto G7 Plus is the most expensive and feature-packed of the four phones.

United States The new moto g7 will be released in the US starting this spring and will be universally unlocked at Best Buy, B&H Photo, Walmart and on with subsequent availability at Google Fi, Republic Wireless and Ting. We've also got a 12-megapixel camera on the back with 1.25μm pixel sizes and an f/1.8 aperture. It's not coming to the United States at all.

Splashes and rain won't be an issue for the Moto G7, as it has a water-repelling coating. It's launching in Brazil and Mexico today, it'll launch in Europe in mid-February, and it'll cost around £269 if you're picking one up in the UK.

But for its $249 (£179, AU$330) price tag, you'll be getting what you paid for in every other respect: a Snapdragon 632 chipset, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (expandable via microSD). It delivers better and faster chipsets, cameras and charging.

On the front, you'll notice the notch is narrower than the G7 Play, but it's still pretty prominent. Specific release dates in these markets are unknown, other than we can expect them sometime in the spring.
