French maker of supercars Bugatti is celebrating the 110th anniversary of its very first vehicle with a special version of the Chiron Sport, limited to just 20 cars.

The French tricolour also features at several points in the interior of the "110 ans Bugatti" special edition.

What you get in place of lightness and smallness is a celebration of Bugatti's French roots.

The body and the front end are made from carbon fibre and the Bugatti line and the typical Bugatti radiator from aluminium. Matt Steel Blue paintwork is used at the rear of the vehicle using a complex painting process for a unique finish.

At the rear, the matte Steel Blue paint is said to evoke the texture of hot-rolled steel, while Steel Blue Carbon finish used elsewhere allows the underlying carbon-fibre to seen. The two-tone colour scheme is reminiscent of historic models: in the 1920s, this type of paintwork was a sign of luxury and exclusiveness, while it now signals a sporting character and high technological competence.

The livery is created to visually separate the car's monocoque and engine compartment, according to Bugatti. The wheels are painted in "Nocturne" matt black and hide French Racing Blue brake callipers. It wouldn't be a special edition without special badging, so the "110 Ans" sports a polished fuel-filler cap with the name of the package. Bugatti says the cap is sandblasted before being hand polished to achieve its lovely finish, with the '"110 ans Bugatti' emblem and the Tricolore running vertically through it". The underside of the rear spoiler is painted with the French flag. The rear spoiler mechanism is anodised in matte black to harmonise with the matte black Ettore Bugatti logo on the centre of the rear, the matte black wheels and the matching sports exhaust system.

The limited edition model is marked by a numbered medallion made from solid silver, and has the Sky View glass roof option fitted as standard. Commemorating the company's 110th anniversary, the special edition also pays tribute to the country where Bugatti was born, France. The high-quality embroidery applied to the headrest and the seat back feature the French flag in a vertical position. Thanks to upgraded exhaust, additional carbon-fiber bodywork, and lightweight wheels, the Sport sheds 40 pounds over the normal vehicle.

The interior uses carbon fiber and leather colors Deep Blue.
