Tuesday: Snow, possibly mixed with freezing rain. The counties covered by the Winter Weather Advisory could receive 5 to 7 inches of snow.

Over Sunday night, snow was expected to be confined to the mountains, with a "VERY BRIEF" break on Monday morning before another winter system began dropping snow in the Seattle area.

Slippery travel was already being reported across Missouri due to freezing rain on Sunday morning.

Palmer agrees with Mass on next week's possible storm, calling for a "potentially significant" snow storm Monday afternoon through Tuesday, with "major accumulation".

The Midwest and Northeast will only have a little break between snow events.

Several rounds of snow will blanket south central Wisconsin through this week.

An expansive winter storm will take shape across the northern Plains on Monday afternoon, according to AccuWeather Storm Warning Meteorologist Billy Clark. Unsafe travel conditions will exist with slick and eventually snow-covered roads/highways.

Areas north of the Forks-Seattle line could see an additional 5-8 inches of snow.

More snowfall is expected in the region early this week.

Stretches of interstates 29, 35, 80, 90 and 94 are expected to be hard and unsafe to travel on during the height of the storm.

Residents in Seattle cleared out grocery store shelves and left work early on Friday afternoon as the storm arrived.

"I love it. I'm excited about it", she said of the snow.

Snow is forecast to transition to an icy mix in this corridor from late Monday through Monday night.
