Assassin's Creed III Remastered outed for Switch again

But if you want to do it all again, but slightly differently, then Ubisoft has announced that a New Game+ mode will be coming to the game at some point this month. The announcement came in meme form as the official account positioned the text in the middle of a steaming cup of tea, presumably about to be spilled.

No more details were given, but Ubisoft did say later on in the thread that more details would be released later this week. Whether or not players will be able to carry over companion characters such as shipmates remains to be seen but for plot-related reasons, this may not be possible.

This good news accompanies a rocky month for Assassin's Creed as the franchise recently caused controversy with its Assassin's Creed: Odyssey DLC, The First Blade. While it can't be ruled out entirely, as the Switch has had near decade old games ported over to its online store, it looks like that won't be happening any time soon.

Despite all of this, a press release sent from Ubisoft just last week finally spilt the beans on the game's official release date, clearly stating that it would arrive on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

Though the announcement Tweet (embedded above) doesn't give us a lot to go on, assuming new game plus works the same in Odyssey as it did in Origins, the player's current level, abilities, and gear should all be retained in any subsequent playthroughs.
