Michael Jordan: Six championships harder than streaks

Both Harden and Westbrook will be in Charlotte this weekend for the NBA All-Star Game. Harden will be suiting up for Team LeBron and Russ will be playing for Team Giannis, and Jordan will likely be closely watching.

The All-Star game will be played on Sunday (Monday morning, Philippine Time) - Jordan's 56th birthday.

Which is harder to accomplish, James Harden's streak of 30 straight 30-point games or Russell Westbrook's 10 straight triple-doubles?

Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan was asked which streak is tougher to accomplish as a player - and didn't miss the opportunity to point out his own greatness.

All joking aside, Jordan lauded the players for their accomplishments and said it shows how much talent the National Basketball Association has.

On the court, after not being able to make his school varsity as a sophomore, Jordan went on to become a two-time All-American, NCAA champion and the national college player of the year in 1984.

The NBA approved the purchase of the Hornets by Jordan with just $30 million in cash.

It's also nice that Jordan gave that debate some fresh material, because hoops fans were recently forced to dig up a 2009 interview he gave, in an attempt to find a telling response to a greatest-ever claim made by LeBron James, who has a 3-6 record in the Finals. The six-time National Basketball Association champion had an epic response.

Jordan did not comment directly on those remarks - if only he'd held a news conference just afterward - so it was left to the Internet to unearth a decade-old exchange with Michael Wilbon in which Jordan sounded much more humble than James had just been.

The only thing seemingly that has eluded Jordan is ultimate success as an executive and team owner.
