Gmail, Google Drive down in apparent global outage

From our observations, it appears that the disruption is affecting users in Malaysia as well but not all users are affected.

"We will provide more information shortly", the company said on its Google Drive service website.

Earlier in the day, it had posted at around 10.53am to say that users were reporting "error messages, high latency, and/or other unexpected behaviour".

If you're having trouble accessing Google Gmail right now, you're certainly not the only one. "Check your network and try again", is the message that these users said comes while sending email. "Recent change might not have been saved".

Gmail, Google Drive, and other Google services are officially back up after suffering a brief outage.

Gmail users have also taken to social media to complain about problems sending emails.

So far, the United States, Japan, New Zealand, Brazil, Philippines, Indonesia and 54 other countries have reported issues with Gmail.

Gmail and Google Drive users worldwide have been hit by outages leaving them unable to send emails or access files.

Hopefully, Google will quickly solve this issue. This issue was not confirmed by Google on its G Suite dashboard.

We will update this story when there is a resolution.
