Ha Ha Clinton-Dix joining Eddie Jackson with Chicago Bears

NFL Network reported Clinton-Dix had a one-year contract for $3.5 million with Chicago as he returns to the NFC North.

Despite the popular opinion that Clinton-Dix's play deteriorated after the trade to the Redskins a year ago, his Pro Football Focus grade of 79.3 was actually the best of his career, and 17th-best among safeties in the NFL. Slot corner Buster Skrine, who arrived at Halas Hall on Thursday as Clinton-Dix was visiting, said he and his new teammate talked about how excited they were to come to the Bears. Adding Clinton-Dix, who spent all but nine games of his career with the Packers, offers an cheap answer to the question facing the Bears after Adrian Amos' departure to Green Bay.

The good news with Clinton-Dix is that he's young (26), durable (never missed a game) and capable of producing turnovers (11 interceptions in the past three seasons).
