YouTube star Lilly Singh has landed her own late-night US TV talk show, replacing Carson Daly in NBC's line-up. When A Little Late hits the small screen, Singh will be the only woman host of a talk show on any of the major four networks.

Singh calls the prospect of being an Indian-Canadian woman with her own late-night show "a dream come true". In her interview with Fallon, Singh described the show as being an "inclusive" extension of her YouTube channel, with comedy segments and interviews.

Continuing her career-long trend of breaking boundaries, Singh's hosting position will make her the only woman now helming a late-night show on any of the four big USA networks, according to Variety.

"[The show] will be kind of like my YouTube channel but now I have more than three staff members", Singh quipped.

Singh's show will be called A Little Late with Lilly Singh, airing weekdays at 1:35 a.m., after Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show and Seth Meyers' Late Night, from September 2019.

Lilly Singh speaks at Room To Read 2018 International Day Of The Girl Benefit at One Kearny Club on October 11, 2018 in San Francisco, California. "I'm thrilled to bring it to life on NBC, and I hope my parents consider this to be as exciting as a grandchild".

At the moment, there are no female late-night hosts on broadcast networks.

Singh also shared the news on Instagram writing, "I can't even believe I am writing this caption". I'm so grateful and overwhelmed to be joining this incredible family.

"I'm numb. I can't even process". Thank you, thank you, thank you! "No matter how many "boxes" you check, I encourage you to do the same x". And now... it's time to work. It's time to hustle harder than ever before.

The content creator also made headlines recently when she came out as bisexual to her 14.5 million subscribers and over 8 million IG followers. But now I'm fully embracing them as my superpowers ...

The news comes weeks after Singh quietly came out as bisexual.
