Schiff: Mueller Can Be Brought in If Report Isn't Released

Schiff, D-Calif., told NBC News' Meet the Press that he believes a face-to-face interview with Trump would be the most effective method to get information regarding any potential collusion with Russian Federation by Trump or his campaign during the election or possible obstruction of justice into the probe.

"Since you asked, and I've been thinking about this", Pelosi said.

As for the House intelligence committee investigation that he is leading, Schiff said he will seek new documents relating to an alleged conversation between Trump and his longtime confidant Roger Stone.

"That could take a number of forms, from phone records, to social media records, to other documentary evidence".

"If there's insufficient evidence in the Mueller report and we're not able to produce sufficient evidence in our own investigation, that ends the inquiry", Schiff explained, Mediaite reported.

Democrats, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and leaders of several House committees, have vowed to sue the Trump administration for Mueller's report and evidence if the Justice Department refuses to turn it over to Congress.
