Wolves stun Manchester United with inspired FA Cup performance

Solskjaer applauding after a Manchester United match

Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: "United lost their first league game under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last week but, with the chances they had, they should have beaten Arsenal". We have so much to play for. "So there's so many things that we need to think about".

Bale has been at Real Madrid since 2013 and is a four-time victor of the Champions League, although there is no chance of a fifth this term after bowing out to Ajax in the round of 16.

But ahead of the trip to Wolves in the FA Cup (live on Saturday at 3:55 p.m. ET on ESPN+), Solskjaer has sided with Jurgen Klopp and said he will not be prioritising one competition over another.

With United still chasing a place in the Premier League's top four and having a Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona to look forward to, Solskjaer is not too downbeat.

"The confidence in the players, it's sky high".

United are looking to bounce back from their first domestic defeat under Solskjaer last weekend at Arsenal - a side they overcame in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Should United win at Molineux on Saturday night, it would take Solskjaer's record as manager to 15 wins from 19 games.

"Don't worry about the players' attitude because when we come back again we will give it a good go". It's the worst feeling you can have.

"We were very disappointed in the result, it hurts more than anything, but we can't look at the performance and say we were s***, because we weren't, to be honest and blunt".
