The upcoming film is the fourth movie in the iconic toys-come-to-life movie series. Essentially, Forky, a spork that just wants to be thrown away, is trying to escape from being a toy.

The first full-length trailer for the Disney-PixarToy Story 4 debuted this morning on ABC's Good Morning America, and offers the first significant hints at where this latest installment in the adventures of Woody & Co is heading: To Disneyland, or some much smaller, carnivalesque version thereof. I was made for soup, salad - maybe chili. He escapes when the family's auto is on the move during a road trip. Buzz Lightyear and Woody make it their life goal to find Forky and get him back to Bonnie.

The cast also includes Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jeff Pidgeon, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Blake Clark.

The new trailer opens up with everyone's favorite sheriff introducing the crew to Forky-a utensil-turned-toy created by their new owner Bonnie.

According to the Disney synopsis, the upcoming instalment will centre on Woody's original love interest Bo, reading: "Woody has always been confident about his place in the world, and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that's Andy or Bonnie".

The movie hits theaters June 21 and features the voice talents of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Tony Hale, Annie Potts and Keanu Reeves.

Toy Story 4 opens in Australia on June 20 and in the United States and United Kingdom on June 21.
