The Powerball jackpot was last won by David Johnson, a 56-year-old supermarket worker from Brooklyn, New York. If a lucky ticket holder's matches tonight's numbers, it could be the fourth largest jackpot in the game's history. The drawing scheduled for Saturday, March 23 could produce the first victor of 2019.

Forty-four states and three jurisdictions across the United States participate in Powerball, where players select, or randomly draw, any five numbers from 1 to 69, and a Powerball number from 1 to 26.

It has a cash value of $380.6 million. A SC purchaser won a $1.54 billion Mega Millions jackpot, which marked the nation's second-largest lottery prize ever.

· There were 251,760 tickets sold that won at least $4 in the drawing.

A "Power Play" option that multiplies non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times to a maximum of $2 million may be added to any Powerball play for only $1. Two other tickets, both from SC, matched all five white balls and utilized the Power Play option, doubling the winnings to $2 million.
