Facebook users found their news feeds refusing to refresh while those trying to reach the main Facebook.com domain found it unavailable.

The last major outage was on 14 March 2019 where Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and Oculus platforms are down worldwide.

Users of all three services owned by Facebook went to Twitter to share that their dissatisfaction.

The outage tracking website showed that there are more than 9000 incidents of people reporting issues with Facebook.

On Twitter, the hashtags #Facebookdown and #Instagramdown were still trending as of 8pm.

The outage comes exactly a month after Facebook went down for nearly a full day across parts of North America and Europe on March 14.

Those trying to log in to Facebook are being met with a message to say the site can not be reached, while WhatsApp messages are either not sending, or delivering with a long delay. Instagram outage issues have also hit parts of Asia.
