Martin Truex Jr. held off Clint Bowyer in a long duel and then Joey Logano for four laps to win the NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway on Saturday night.

The defending Cup Series champion was on a rail in the final laps of the Toyota Owners 400, powering around the top side of the three-quarter-mile oval and passing Clint Bowyer for second with four laps left as he looked to collect his second win of the season. Three weeks in a row I felt like we had a vehicle that could win the race and we haven't won. Busch leads the 2019 Monster Energy Series point standing by 20 points over Logano.

Cindric said he had some raindrops on his windshield after he took the lead and "I turned into the most religious person you'll ever know praying for it to downpour". "But to have a moment with her, that her and I can share together, you really become a lot closer, believe it or not". He led a race-high 186 laps. "Certainly want to keep the momentum rolling from last week and really the start of the season for us, keep that top-10 streak going, too".

With rain threatening, Cindric grabbed the lead on a restart with 25 laps to go, but Custer quickly regained the lead five laps later and pulled away.

"Everything you want as a racecar driver, you've got to have (the) most of all of it and, if you don't, then you better hope you have more forward bite than the rest of them". He was never able to make back up front to challenge for the lead.

Joe Gibbs said he can't explain his team's dominant start to the season, but he's going to enjoy it while it lasts. I think that's where our strength is and we've had some moments in some of these races that we've kind of been knocked off that we've been able to rebound and come back up through. And the inspection heavily impacted the starting grid with eight of the 37 cars failing inspection at least once. Larson was fastest in the lone practice session Friday and was second to his Chip Ganassi Racing teammate, Busch, in the opening round of qualifying.

Other cars that failed inspection include those of Aric Almirola, Denny Hamlin, Matt Tifft and Joey Gase.

Contact with Daniel Hemric early in the second stage gave Larson a tire rub and when he got back up to speed after stopping under green, the rub continued and he hit the Turn 1 wall on just the 127th lap of the night.

No racing next week for the Easter break. "A decent green-flag cycle got us up". "Tonight we didn't have the best auto, but we've lost some here with the best vehicle". Bowyer had his fourth straight top-10 finish... The top four finishers in this race will be eligible for the bonus when the series races next at Talladega Superspeedway in two weeks.
