The energy in the live studio audience is palpable in both YouTube clips of their performances - of "Mic Drop" and the new song, "Boy With Luv" - with the usual polite clapping replaced by shrieking cheers.

This week has been sensational for BTS: the band broke YouTube's one-day viewing record, notching 78 million views for their collaboration with Halsey and 2 million comments.

For quite some time now, the world has been waking up the brilliance of K-pop collective BTS.

South Korean sensation BTS are back and already breaking records with their latest release, "Map of the Soul: Persona".

Even more awesome is the fact that BTS not only broke the previous record of 56.7 million views, set by Blackpink's "Kill This Love" just last week, but that they smashed it by nearly 22 million views.

At the time of this writing, the music video has racked up 120,675,309 total views since it first released on April 12, 2019.

YouTube Music took to its official Twitter handle on Sunday morning to confirm this mind-numbing achievement, declaring 'Boy with Luv' music video to have indeed become the most watched 24-hour debut.

This is a shout out to the ARMYs around the globe, who supported the BTS comeback with full-force and helped the boys achieve new records.
