"Until we were 2-0 up it was a really open game. I really believe that tomorrow will be no exception and we will be able to go out with that positive energy and hurt Liverpool".

"I didn't like the last game, because it was really unusual", Klopp said.

"The first goal was really good play but Sadio (Mane) had harder shots that weren't in".

"They always have a high intense game in the highest intensity atmosphere", added Klopp. "They know how to influence a game and influence an opponent and we have to be ready".

It is a timely boost for Liverpool with Dejan Lovren ruled out due to illness.

Jurgen Klopp is expected to make a few rotations to his first-team squad but the manager will be happy that Robertson is returning back from suspension and the Scott will take up his place at left-back meaning James Milner will start on the bench.

Liverpool travel to Porto for the second time in two seasons, having blown the Portuguese champions away in the round of 16 previous year, but both Klopp and Milner placed little significance on that 5-0 victory.

However, Klopp also agreed that his players can, and do, show they're excellent at times.

Liverpool have never lost a European match against Porto in seven previous encounters (W4 D3 L0), keeping three successive clean sheets against them. "I have to ask what the main goal is for FC Porto, and it is the league".

"We have to play at our limit 100 percent", he said, adding that the Portuguese side had won all four Champions League home games this season.

The feel-good factor is as strong as ever around Liverpool as they continue their pursuit of a league and Champions League double.

It's not likely FC Porto will pull off an upset, but the Reds will still need to be careful considering there have already been two clubs to overcome a two-goal deficit in this year's Champions League Round of 16 (PSG vs. Manchester United and Juventus vs. Atletico Madrid). Liverpool moved back into top spot with a 2-0 victory over Chelsea and Porto remain level with Benfica after a 3-0 win over Portimonense. "Liverpool's chance of winning the Champions League has risen to 16%, making them third favourites behind FC Barcelona and Juventus".
