Messenger's dark mode provides lower brightness while maintaining contrast and vibrancy.

We already heard the implementation of a system-wide Dark Mode for iOS devices that would be similar to what arrived on Mac machines through macOS 10.14 Mojave a year ago.

Multitasking on iPad will improve too it is claimed, with iOS 13 bringing multiple windows to apps, with each window offering sheets. These cards can be flung away to be dismissed. Earlier only Undo typing has been available which required a physical shaking of the iPhone to enable the feature, which was certainly awkward. On iPad (at least), you might be able to undo and redo actions by sliding three fingers left or right on the keyboard area. This would help prevent an issue where users are forced to move the user-agent to a desktop version. Instead of installing new fonts that can be used for your Apple gadget's text interface, new fonts can already be found via a font management panel in the settings. Developers will also get a new standard font picker component, and users will be notified each time when they open a document that doesn't have available fonts. You'll also get a "read later" queue.

Multi-select gesture. A new system-wide gesture will let users multi-select items in table and collection views. Users will be able to "drag with multiple fingers on a list or collection of items to draw a selection, similar to clicking and dragging in Finder on the Mac". This approach is similar to what third-party apps like Edison Mail, Spark, and others offer. Whereas previous iterations have focused largely on performance enhancements, iOS 13 will reportedly introduce a number of usability improvements.
