Britney's father Jamie has been the singer's sole conservator for the past 11 years, which means he is now the only person who can look at her medical files.

Britney's father, Jamie Spears, has been her conservator since 2008, and he became sole conservator this year after attorney Andrew Wallet resigned from his co-conservatorship in March.

Britney Spears has appeared at a Los Angeles court to address the conservatorship she has been under for the past 11 years. Reports state the courtroom was sealed as the discussion of her current condition was discussed.

A judge Wednesday, May 8, 2019, ordered the man, 44-year-old Sam Lutfi, to stay at least 200 yards from Spears, her parents and her sons. The children were born extremely close together and Britney's ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has custody of the boys.

Reports suggest the judge overseeing the case requested Britney's presence in court.

Lutfi sued the Spears family in 2009, alleging Britney Spears had breached a contract with him, Jamie Spears had punched him and Lynne Spears had defamed him in a memoir.

The elder Spears also serves as his daughter's conservator.

A source previously told People that Lynne's primary concern in the conservatorship matter is her daughter's well being.

The court appearance was one of the Toxic star's first outings since she completed mental health treatment in a wellness centre.

According to the AP, Jamie Spears, Britney's father was also at the hearing.

It is not known if Britney will attend the hearing.

But Penny has not indicated she is inclined to make any major moves, and ordered another status hearing for September. Now, Lynne and Jamie are apparently not seeing eye-to-eye in how Britney's being managed, and Lynne's lawyer wrote that it's in Britney's "best interest" for her mom "to have a voice" in this situation, per TMZ.

"Beginning over a decade ago, Lutfi began pretending to have a professional association with Ms. Spears, even falsely claiming to have been her manager, when in reality he was only a parasite attempting to gain attention by associating himself with her celebrity and attempting to keep her isolated and under his influence", the filing said.

Lutfi is also accused of sending the pop star's mother, Lynne Spears, "a long and unhinged text message that includes harmful, disparaging and ominous remarks in an effort to disrupt the conservatorship".

Lutfi's attorney, Marc S. Gans, said in a statement to CNN that he and his client were disappointed that the restraining order had been granted.
