Ubisoft delays Skull & Bones again and won't show it at E3 2019

The PS4, Xbox One, and PC game was initially scheduled for a 2018 release, before being delayed to financial year 2019/20.

If you were holding out for Ubisoft Singapore's grand pirate adventure, Skull & Bones, don't get your hopes up.

The company has delayed its open-world high-seas game Skull and Bones.

The release date for Skull & Bones has been pushed back again to after the new financial year, although no reason has been given for this.

Revealed via Ubisoft's 2018-2019 financial earnings report, the company's 2019-2020 financial targets of net bookings of around €2,185 million ($2.4 billion USD) will be led by Ghost Recon Breakpoint and the three other AAA titles that are now unknown.

The good news is that there will be four new AAA games released before the end of fiscal year 2020, which is the end of March 2020.

Figuring out what the other three AAA titles are will be the new gripping question as we know Assassin's Creed is taking a year off.

Having been announced back in June 2017 during E3, Skull and Bones has been on a long journey towards release. We will likely hear more about these games at E3 this year.

As far as the other three, triple-A games the company has in the works, it said these will be "revealed later". Watch Dogs 3? Splinter Cell? The number of players has grown by 40% over the previous year to reach more than 45 million.
