The best feature of Google Trip will be that it will stop you from switching between mobile and laptop for your bookings. The reason behind this is that all users who are enrolled in the beta program will always be the first ones to access all of Google's latest and most important updates. It'll use that information to suggest travel articles you might want to read about a particular location you're researching, along with suggester day plans and activities like restaurants you might want to check out.

Aiming to change that, Google will launch a more unified travel product to integrate flight and hotel search functions, while organizing people's travel plans and saving research. This is via the new platform from Google called Google Trips which can be accessed by Google.com/travel. The app includes displaying your booking details on Google maps by pinpointing your hotel on the map. Later on, they said, you will be able to manually add new reservations that may have not been in your email.

Also worth noting: Hotel and restaurant reservations will be accessible in Google Maps in the coming months.

Trips is a continuation of a travel-based undertaking that Google began a year ago when it rounded up reservations for hotels and flights to a trip timeline for users signed into their Google accounts and who received Gmail confirmation. It will now pinpoint popular neighborhoods nearby and what they may be famous for.

Google may be commonly used as a verb for looking for information, but in the online travel world the technology giant isn't a go-to destination like Expedia, Priceline and TripAdvisor.

Google Trips landing page is made live on the web for its early reviews. Google will put hotels, flights, things to do, places to eat, weather, packages and more right in a central place.

Google says it's getting serious about services for travellers.

"Soon, we'll add viewed things to do and saved and viewed hotels to your trips".
